I'm sure you're wondering about the title of this blog, and what Punky, cartwheels and a chicken have in common. Well, they are all things I found this morning at the Morissette Family Reunion...along with some wonderful, friendly and photogenic people!
Punky is the eleven-year-young pup who's house at which this large gathering was held. Punky roamed the yard making sure that everyone there was an invited guest. I noticed Punky taking a break from her rounds a time or two though to see if any of the kiddos would share a snack with her.
Cartwheels are what one of the aunts broke into when some of the little ones were sick of this crazy lady following them around with a camera. I really, really wanted to turn around and snap a few photos of my head-over-heels helper, but the smiles she was getting were priceless!
And finally, a chicken. After a full morning of reuniting with loved ones, trying to keep their clothes clean and the afore mentioned crazy camera lady, some of the kids were just "done" with pictures. Another aunt to the rescue... with a chicken. Yes, a real, live chicken. I think it's probably the first (and maybe the last) time I've ever said, "Everybody look a the chicken!!!".
I was honored to spend the morning with such a beautiful (and fun) family!
