Enjoy Your Success

"Enjoy Your Success" was part three of the Paquin and Carroll Insurance Company photo session we shot today.

Danielle from Paquin and Carroll was hoping to get a few shots of Tony from Biddeford Savings Bank and Rick from SMMC living the tag-line of "Enjoy Your Success" for their Commercial Lines brochure and website. I think that they did a great job acting that they've known each other forever and that they just closed a really big deal.

It was so fun working with our newly found models and the great folks at Paquin and Carroll for the past few weeks! Now they'll be busy designing all their new promotions!

Awaiting Evelyn

Amber and Owen are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their daughter, Evelyn.

I first met the mom and dad to be a few years ago when I photographed their beautiful wedding here in Southern Maine. Since then, they've lived in Indiana and Hawaii. When Owen found himself with a long weekend to himself, the couple decided to head to Maine to visit family and friends. I'm so glad that Amber is such a good planner and called me to schedule Evelyn's "first photo shoot" as soon as they knew their flight information!

Evelyn is not due to arrive until August, but I hope that these images will hold Amber and Owen over until she gets here! I think they'll be fun to look at well beyond that too!

Day and Night

Now that our daughter, Katie is nearly nine-years-old, we no longer hear the cries for "Littlest PetShops" or the pleading for "Strawberry Shortcake". These days, all we hear is "Can I PLEASE get my haircut?"

Today, Katie's prayers were answered. Before she left for school, I took her "before" photo and told her that when she got home, if she still wanted to, we'd go get her hair cut. Well, despite my not-so-subtle reminders of how long it takes for hair to grow and how we can't put it up in a ponytail if it's too short... off we went to the salon.

I think Katie's hair came out really cute. You can't beat the smile on tonight's "after" photo. She's so proud of herself for making this decision on her own, and I'm glad I got a couple cute pictures out of the deal!

Miss Olivia Shines

You may remember sweet, Olivia from a blog earlier this year. She and her BFF, Jenna were in for a visit to celebrate turning FIVE!

Since then, Olivia has been hard at work, doing a few shoots for Port City Models. Port City needed a few updated shots of Miss Olivia, so mom made a list of some of her favorites and gave me a call!

Above is the Comp Card we designed which the agency will use to help get Olivia modeling jobs, but her beautiful face and cute-as-a-button personality will certainly take it from there!

We're also working on a "Fun to be Five" book which we'll create using images from this shoot. Mom Lorna knows how quickly the girls will be six... then sixteen... and wants to be sure she enjoys this very special time.

Pomp and Circumstance

Sometime during the next couple of weeks, you'll no doubt send out a graduation card, attend a commencement ceremony, or at the very least, wish someone you know "Congratulations".

Beyond the Pomp and Circumstance and all the speeches proclaiming, "Carpe Diem", there are many wonderful, motivated and inspiring young people who will either be entering the world of work, or heading off to college.

It's encouraging to think back at all the talented and charming High School Seniors I've been fortunate enough to meet and photograph this year. I wish them, and the entire class of 2008 the best of luck! I only wish I could post an image of each of them.

Punky, Cartwheels and a Chicken

I'm sure you're wondering about the title of this blog, and what Punky, cartwheels and a chicken have in common. Well, they are all things I found this morning at the Morissette Family Reunion...along with some wonderful, friendly and photogenic people!

Punky is the eleven-year-young pup who's house at which this large gathering was held. Punky roamed the yard making sure that everyone there was an invited guest. I noticed Punky taking a break from her rounds a time or two though to see if any of the kiddos would share a snack with her.

Cartwheels are what one of the aunts broke into when some of the little ones were sick of this crazy lady following them around with a camera. I really, really wanted to turn around and snap a few photos of my head-over-heels helper, but the smiles she was getting were priceless!

And finally, a chicken. After a full morning of reuniting with loved ones, trying to keep their clothes clean and the afore mentioned crazy camera lady, some of the kids were just "done" with pictures. Another aunt to the rescue... with a chicken. Yes, a real, live chicken. I think it's probably the first (and maybe the last) time I've ever said, "Everybody look a the chicken!!!".

I was honored to spend the morning with such a beautiful (and fun) family!

Live Your Life

"Live Your Life: We'll Take Care of the Details."
That's the new tag-line for Paquin and Carroll Insurance Company in Biddeford's new Personal Lines brochure.

We had a great session this morning, getting some images for their new brochure and website. Baby Cameron and his mom were troopers given the temperature. This was not only Cameron's first official modeling gig, but his very first visit to the beach too!

Today, our shoot focused on the Personal Lines of insurance, and "living your life". Next week, we'll head out again and work on images for Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits. I'll be sure to post some shots from those shoots too!

The folks at Paquin and Carroll are so busy!

May Flowers

It's finally here; the time of year when we can get outside for sessions! It's been a long, cold winter, but Mother Nature has her way of rewarding us with beautiful May flowers. Let's go out and play, or bring a little Spring indoors!

Million Dollar Smiles

Stacey brought Nick and Karie to the studio this weekend with the thought of decorating their new home with updated family photos.

Karie was so excited and began striking poses right away. Nick however, needed a little coaxing. Stacy had the bright idea of offering Nick $10 if he smiled. Well, Nick took that idea and ran with it, quickly talking mom into $10 PER SMILE! I'm not sure if Stacey was serious or not, but if she was, she'll be out a million dollars... As you cam see, Nick did a great job!

Devyn's All Grown Up

Devyn is trying to break into the world of show-biz, so she batted her eye lashes at her Aunt Denise when she found out she needed a few photos...fast! How could I resist this face?

While we were shooting this morning, she asked her mom for $50 for a pair of shorts... I managed to say no to that just fine though (and so did her mom). Ahhh, to be 16 again!

I hope these images (and the 1,000 more we took) can play a small part in helping to make Devyn's big dreams come true!
